Lovely 9ct gold tanzanite and diamond pendant in a vintage-inspired design, set with an oval cut tanzanite of approximately 0.75 carats within a layered, ornate surround of diamonds and milgrain-edged gold work. The tanzanite is a clear, bright blue-violet, bezel-set at the centre of a diamond-shaped frame, with further diamond-set borders building outward in a stepped, architectural pattern. Small decorative flourishes at the four points of the outer frame and a diamond-set leaf bale above give the pendant a period character that sits somewhere between Edwardian and Art Deco in feel.
The diamonds, approximately 0.25 carats in total, are pavé and milgrain-set throughout the surrounding framework, adding sparkle across the full face of the pendant rather than concentrating it in one place.
