Very pretty Art Deco onyx and diamond pendant, set in platinum and 18ct gold. The design features a rectangular panel of black onyx framing a central platinum plaque set with old cut diamonds, edged in fine milgrain throughout. At the centre of the platinum panel sits a slightly larger old cut diamond, surrounded by further smaller diamonds arranged in a geometric pattern of triangles and lines that is entirely characteristic of the period.
The pendant hangs from an 18ct yellow gold bale, the diamonds total approximately 0.15 carats across the full panel, consistently set and well-matched throughout. At 17mm drop including the bale the pendant sits neatly at the neckline. Unmarked but tested as platinum and 18ct gold.
