Emerald and Diamond Cluster Ring

£5,995.00

A natural oval cut emerald of approximately 3 carats sits at the centre of this beautiful ring, a vivid, saturated green. Emeralds of this size and colour are genuinely rare — the combination of significant carat weight and strong green colour in a natural stone is something that becomes increasingly difficult to find as you move up the market.

Surrounding it is a single halo of twelve brilliant cut diamonds totalling approximately 1.95 carats, including three further diamonds to each shoulder — assessed as H/I colour and SI clarity, they are well-matched, generously sized stones that provide a brilliant white frame without competing with the emerald for attention. The contrast between the deep green of the emerald and the white brilliance of the diamonds is one of the great combinations in fine jewellery, and in this ring it is executed with real confidence.

The setting reflects the period beautifully. Dating from the 1950s, the ring has the bold, unapologetic presence characteristic of post-war fine jewellery — an era that favoured significant stones in generous mounts, worn to be seen. The emerald is set in gold claws, the diamonds in a white gold collet surround, all mounted on an 18ct gold shank stamped to confirm the metal content.
